Data Deletion

Last updated 4 October 2026

How to remove the data Volume holds about you. Every route below works without contacting anyone, and the email route is there if you would rather we did it for you.

Instagram

Any one of these removes the data we hold for your Instagram account:

  • From Instagram: open Instagram, go to Settings, then Website permissions (or Apps and websites), find Volume, and remove it. Meta tells us at once and we disconnect the account. From the same place you can ask for your data to be deleted; we delete it automatically as soon as Meta sends the request.
  • From Volume: in the app, open Settings, then Accounts, and press Disconnect next to Instagram. Posting stops immediately.
  • By email: write to [email protected] from the address on your Volume account, naming the Instagram username. We delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted: the Instagram access token, your Instagram account ID, username and account type, and the records of the posts you scheduled or published through Volume to that account. Posts already on Instagram stay on Instagram; delete them there if you wish.

TikTok

Disconnect TikTok in Settings, or remove Volumefrom your TikTok account’s connected apps. Either stops all access and deletes the stored tokens.

Your whole account

To delete your Volume account and everything associated with it, use the delete option in Settings or email [email protected]. We remove your data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep records such as invoices. Backups are purged on a rolling 35-day cycle. The privacy policy lists everything we hold and why.
